Michael Eavis responds to David Gilmour Glastonbury snub claims

Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has released a statement after reports in the press claim that he turned down a performance from David Gilmour at this year's event.

As previously reported, The Sun newspaper claimed that Eavis snubbed Gilmour's offer, despite the Pink Floyd man being very keen to play.

Eavis said in the statement: "I got a call three or four weeks ago from Gilmour's people. But by that time all the bands were already in place for this year. It's a wonderful line-up and I couldn't bump one of them off, even for him."
