Beckham Ok After Fan Attack

Soccer stud-turned-model David Beckham is playing down the security scare at Saturday's L.A. Galaxy game, during which an over-zealous fan had to be dragged from the pitch. Beckham admits he was a little wary when the fan disrupted the Galaxy game against Colorado Rapids and ran towards him. He says, "He didn't have a smile on his face and he didn't have a Galaxy shirt on, so I didn't know if he was going to come and give me a hug or something else. "These things happen in games all over the world. Luckily, he just wanted to give me a high five and that was the end of it."

Michael Eavis responds to David Gilmour Glastonbury snub claims

Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has released a statement after reports in the press claim that he turned down a performance from David Gilmour at this year's event.

As previously reported, The Sun newspaper claimed that Eavis snubbed Gilmour's offer, despite the Pink Floyd man being very keen to play.

Eavis said in the statement: "I got a call three or four weeks ago from Gilmour's people. But by that time all the bands were already in place for this year. It's a wonderful line-up and I couldn't bump one of them off, even for him."
